Other than that, the story revolves around the friendship of two boys and even though these boys live in separate worlds for the most part of the story, they are still connected by a secret and the plot is basicall y about how the protagonist strives for redemption for more than himself. On the other hand, the reader follows the story of two boys in ‘The Kite Runner’ which is also in Afghanistan, but the setting does change for the majority of the plot. In ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’ the author writes about two girls who become sisters by fate and the story is about how t hey navigate their lives during the political strife of Afghanistan. In this post, I am going to compar e and contrast the plot, the characters and Hosseini’s writing style for both stories.
